Rocking Chair

I love this piece. It had belonged to the gran of the lady I was doing it for and she wanted it modernising but was keen to hang onto it. Her remit was greys and whites and then she was just happy for me to do my re-refining. I started by doing blocks of white and areas of grey and then to pull it all together, I mixed a light grey using the white and grey that I'd used and watered it down and then dragged washed it over the white areas. I finished off with a coat of Ronseal's trusty clear satin varnish (I love their varnishes). She loved the finished product.
