Shelves

I bought these cheap £7 shelves from Wickes and wanted to show how I've painted them in order to make them look more expensive! I decided that the alcove in my lounge would really lend itself to some shelves but I didn't want spend a lot, but I wanted it to look as though I had! I painted the tops the same ochre yellow as in my room, but decided they would look good with a contrasting colour, so I painted the underside with a dark shade of purple and either side of the brackets. I am very pleased with how they look and they really enhance my room.
