Stylish side table

I saw this beautiful table on Facebook market place and immediately saw its potential. It was a lovely piece to work with. I sanded both surfaces down and cleaned with white spirits. I then cleaned the rest of the table using sugar soap before I began to paint. I decided a lovely combination is the natural wood with black paint. The edges and legs leant themselves beautifully to being painted, whilst I simply varnished both surfaces. I think the effect is very elegant.
